Meet Tara Posner, LPC, LPCS
Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me. I have been a therapist for 24 years, and throughout my career I have had the privilege of walking along side people through many different seasons of life. My experience includes working in community clinics, group homes, private practice, and college counseling centers. These experiences have allowed me to work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
I believe everyone has a story to tell. Our experiences, relationships, struggles, and beliefs all shape the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and how we navigate the world. Sometimes those stories become heavy, painful, or limiting. Therapy can provide a safe place to slow down, make sense of your story, and begin to see yourself and your circumstance in a new way.
My approach to counseling is integrative and relational. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Family systems Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tailoring therapy to each persons unique needs and goals.
I work with clients struggling with anxiety, grief, strained relationships, marriage and parenting issues, and life transitions.
